Killing songs: All !!! (but my favorite is Wishmaster)
Well after the highly acclaimed second record from Nightwish : Oceanborn,
I was putting my expectations to the highest and I was afraid I might
be disappointed. Well I'm not, in the contrary I'm astonished that
Nightwish could deliver an even more mature album !?! How the hell
is that possible ? Well, once you've listen to Wishmaster you'll understand.
This is a killing album like you've only dreamed of, Tarja's voice
is simply incredible, but that we already knew. Anyway I'm under the
impression that she made big progress between Oceanborn (really!)
and the result is simply amazing. Musically the album is quiet different
from Oceanborn, perhaps a bit lighter. I mean it's still excellent
true metal but it's slower than Oceanborn in general. As for the songs
themselves, they vary a lot and are more complex. You will need to
really give all your attention to this masterpiece to uncover all
the surprises it holds. For those who don't know Nightwish (huh ?
... is that possible ?) : they play a very melodic true metal with
classical opera vocal (female), and this mix is a real wonder of originality
and epic music moment. How can music be like that ? This is so original,
so powerful, so metal and yet so musical, classic in a way every person
on earth can appreciate it, no need to be a metalhead but yet if you
are you'll enjoy it even more.
Now you don't want to miss this album my friends, trust me !!! (If
this one doesn't make it album of the year, noone will =) !)
