Killing songs: The Kid Could Play, Surrender, Love Is Dying, Forsaken & Prisoner Of Love
Interesting album. Probably not very original, but I don't care when it's rockin'
the house in such way !
Seventh key is a studio project from Billy Greer (Kansas' bass player
and second singer). I must say that Billy have a great voice and know what to
do to make you wanna Rock'n'Roll ! The album contains 11 songs which are almost
all very cool, quite basic but their catchy melodies and hooks are more than
welcomed. I had a bad feeling about this album since I usually don't like side
projects from known artists as sometimes it's just to make more money and you
can almost feel it in the sound sometimes ! But here they guys are playing with
their hearts and deliver a very good, enjoyable release. The guitar sounds are
very warm with nice solos and melodies that makes the songs fly in the air.
The overall reminds me a bit of Magnum and also Chicago sometimes...
The production is very good and I also like the artcover a lot. If you like
80's style Hard-Rock with nice vocals, catchy melodies and a tad of Rock'n'Roll
attitude then be sure to check out Seventh Key cause it's for sure a
nice album !
