Killing songs: 10 extremely fast rockets !!!
I still don't believe I haven't received the promo of this new God
Dethroned. This is one of the best death metal record I have listen
in my whole life. Pfou... what a tempo, what an aggression, what a damned
fast record !!! A "crushing" brain record. The kind of record
you cannot listen two times in a row, because your brain hardly survive
the first one.
Is it the new drummer Tony Laureano (session only, Ex-Angel Corpse)
who has helped the band to accomplished their satanic and melodic "roller coast
wishes". I can't really tell you. Considering Bloody Blasphemy
(previous record) as much more heavy metal oriented for my taste
and considering also this Ravenous as a speed wagon in my face,
I can tell you God Dethroned will kill in live gigs.
Technically speaking, God Dethroned delivers the perfect result : A+.
Musically speaking : A+. Aggression : A+. Sound : A++. The enormous
production gives even more power to this Ravenous as all songs
are so very well arranged, produced and mastered..
Lyrically ? I prefer to use a joker. Eh, we are talking of death metal
here. Not the melodic way (In Flames), not the new way (Children Of
Bodom, Soilwork), we are talking about death metal in your face. So
guys out there who like hard stuff, fast drums, killing riffs and aggressive
vocals, this one is for you.
If there is one extreme death metal record to buy, don't search anymore,
this is the one. This forth record from Holland is a mixture of death/black/thrash.
Slayer is not that far and this record is the answer to the whole Sweden
death metal scene. I urge everyone out there to listen to some good
music for a change and pick up a copy of God Dethroned's Ravenous.
There are so many different elements, diversity and changes in this
album that it is rather difficult to describe them all. Don't miss it
for nothing.
