Killing songs: The whole "small record" is a killer.
This is what I call a pleasant surprise.
Between DragonTown (the new Alice Cooper) and this Dragonlord,
you should definitely jump on this one. Eric Peterson (Testament)
is behind this new band (project ?). This Rapture is a black
metal jewel full of 7 songs that will please all black metal fans out
there.
Actually, Dragonlord sounds like an angry Dimmu Borgir
and I hope this guys will release their next one as fast as possible,
because this one is too short ... really too short when you consider
there is only 35 minutes music and that first track is an instrumental
one. Some of you will tell me quality is better than quantity !!! But
in this case, I think the album is really too short because it is a
fu**ing good one that ends too quickly.
The synthesizers doesn't out-point more than all the other instruments,
the vocals also reminds you very much Dimmu Borgir and the song
writing is very similar to The Haunted, which is inspired by
Testament. No direct relationship with Eric Peterson, but it
is funny to see how music has progressed from Testament to Dragonlord.
You cannot miss this one if you are fan of black metal. Testament's
fans should give a try ... as long as they have nothing against black
metal of course.
