Killing songs: Sepulnation, Revolt
Can you believe that first song is so good !!!
Sepulnation is The best song of Nation .... and after here comes
the big hole. This album was supposed to see a rebound from previous
one Against ... which was almost totally missed. Far better compare
to Against (but was it possible to do worst ?), Sepulnation
is aggressive and reminds us here and there good old days of the band.
But these moments are so short !!!
Green seems to have lost his hard-core influences (still not enough
for my taste). Apart the vocals and drums, which are by far the more
interesting parts of this album, there are too many never ending hard-core
boring parts.
Riffs are too simple and 1000 time heard-before and where Soulfly
succeeds ... Sepultura lakes of good song-writing is visible like the
nose in the middle of the face. Basically, although the vocals have
improved the songs are worst than ever. I agree that the writing is
better compare to the last album, but it still not enough to impress
us ... after all we are talking of Sepultura, don't we?
Far too little good time and at the end ... with all these boring
moments, this album seems to be endless. This is the second record without
"who you know" and second disillusion.
Maybe next time ... but I am afraid it might be their last chance.
