Killing songs: All !
Now who played with the copy machine ? I want names !!! :)
It seems some funny guy put Children Of Bodom in the Xerox machine
and here is the result... (thanks by the way). Yahoooooooo; another
over the top fantastic melodic, flying all over the place "a
la" Children kinda band. Although I can't praise them for their
originality I have to admit that I'm impressed, no less.
Funny cause I really thought that Children Of Bodom would be like
the only one to do this amazing metal style, changing tempo and
melody every 10 seconds, alterning fucking fast moments with slow
or mid-tempo, always with the aggressive vocals (somehow I can't
see a difference between this singer and Alexi, at least not during
the agressive parts). But no, another band is actually doing the
exact same thing and it's Throne Of Chaos. The riffs themselves
are more in the vein of what In Flames do and the result might be
more easy to digest, at least during first listens.
In the end this album is a pure wonder of melody, full pleasure
packed bombastic record. Better than the first Children Of Bodom,
but a bit inferior than Hatebreeder. But for a first album I can
only applaud ! For the artcover... well I really think it sucks
and that's too bad, it doesn't help the CD being picked on the shelves
when he really deserves to be (something to think about for next
releases I guess). As for the all copycat remarks I'm sure they'll
get I'd say : I personally don't give a shit when it sounds that
good, but don't wait for something new or very original. A buy-or-die
album for Melodic Death Metal and especially Children and In Flames
fans.
