Killing songs: Full Of Hate, Obsession
Here comes a demo we have received just in front of the
official T-shirt store at .... Wacken. We could write many
things on the production (bad sound, drum prod ?, mixing
?,...), but considering this one comes as a demo for metal
labels, we will focus our time on the songs.
Legion is a kind of Witchery meets Iron Maiden.
Fast, melodic and aggressive at the same time (vocals),
the four songs have a complex song-writing (breaks, solos).
I would say the vocalist like bands like Dimmu Borgir
and musically it sounds more as an Iron Maiden fast
black metal band. For my taste, there are almost no death
elements in Legion's music (apart some vocals on
third song, Generation's Crime).
Well if I can give a piece of advice to this Italian band
is to follow the path they have opened on first two tracks.
Being a huge fan of Iron Maiden & Witchery,
Legion impressed me on these tracks, because they are
fast and simple. These comparisons with Malevolent Creation
or Cannibal Corpse are may be right when we talk
about the 3rd song, but this song is by far the worst one
on Feelings Of Repulsion. Considering the first one
is an intro and the last one an outro (insturmental), there's
not much left...
I bet this band will not stay for long .... unsigned. A
lot of work is still needed on the production and mixing
part to impressed anybody out there, but Legion has
a future.
