Erased MCD

Erased is the first single taken from the new album Symbol Of Life. This item is quite interesting since it contains, in addition to Erased and Two Worlds and a enhanced multimedia part, two unreleased leftover tracks recorded during the session of Symbol of Life. The first one is I Can Hate You and could easily have been featured on the album since it’s a really good track with the additional vocals of Joanna Stevens, better than some featured on the album such as Channel For The Pain. The second one Deus is maybe not as good as I Can Hate You, but it could have made it onto the album. It must be a difficult choice when you have recorded too many tracks for a new album and then you have to choose which ones will make it onto the record. Both those tracks are in the same vein as the whole album and show the band returning more or less to it's metal roots. In addition to those two unreleased tracks, this single contains a live performance of Self Obsessed. The song makes a good transition to the stage and this really makes me want to see the band on their forthcoming tour. The Erased promo video is presented here in its director’s cut. I don’t know why is that since except for Nick Homes who pretends to be the goat himself, there’s nothing to be afraid of. There’s the band playing, a bunch of chicks wearing blond wigs and colored contact lenses and that’s about it. A promo video that’s not going to be aired anywhere anyway. Then you also have the making of that video. The questions are in German and the answers are being spoken by the band themselves with their thick British accent that is very hard to understand.
