Killing songs: Ignition
Seaside is a Swiss band playing atmospheric metal which reminds me
Lacuna Coil. First track, Ignition, coming straight from Lacuna
Coil's in a Reverie, is a very good song and the female voice
of Vale is magical, perfect for this type of music. Ignition
reminds me also Paradise Lost, because the guitar's sound reminds me
famous Draconian Time. Hashura second song reminds me
more Tears For Fear and is less "metallic". While Screening
is again heavy and atmospheric, Clean is a ballad in Lacuna Coil's
spirit.
The voice is very good and this Emerge is very atmospheric,
delivering "flying feelings". An emotional album that targets
the heart and the mind of the listener. I liked the structures of the
songs, while the production of the album is crystal clear.
This Emerge is a five piece of atmospheric metal and I really
hope the full record will be more in the vein of the first song or the
third one (Ignition or Screening) which is for me the road to
follow. The rest of the record is cool, but is sounding too much for
the "radio".
If you like Lacuna Coil, jump on this one. Excellent start! And here
comes another touchdown by as Swiss band. The guy who said Switzerland
is a country of watch and chocolate forget to mention also ... metal.
Congratulations and thanks again to Uptones Records who send us this
promo.
