Killing songs: I'm A Believer, Don't Leave Me In Love
I'm glad to introduce you the brand new EP of Giant. For those who don't
know Giant: I can just tell them that the heart of this band was formed
by the Huff Brothers, with Dann on guitar and vocals and David on drums. With
only two fabulous albums at the end of 80's, Last Of The Runaway (1989)
featuring a classic, melodic hard rock sound (which yielded a top-twenty hit
with I'll See You In My Dreams)andTime To Burn (1991),
David and Dann created an instantly recognizable sound. When at the top, the
departure of the keyboards player Alan Pasqua (who worked with Rick Springfield,
Santana, Allan Holdsworth, Eddie Money, Bob Dylan,
...etc) led the band to the end.
As usual, Frontiers Records which is specialized in old glories, offered them
a second chance. And what a chance! An extended play with five tracks Don't
Leave Me In Love (it appears on the new album), three live tracks Chained,
I'm A Believer and The Big Pitch and an acoustic with Stay.
This EP is a prologue to their forthcoming album simply called III.
Giant's finest melodies take another dimension on stage ! These studio
session musicians are made to play LIVE and their sound become more agressive with
walls of guitars! Set them free and open the lions' cage...
I haven't seen them on stage yet, but I'll promise you that I'll do my best
to see this f..... show! See you on the road guys!
