Destiny

Without any doubts one of the best Stratovarius album ever ! Although I like the new Infinite album as much as this one I think this one deserves more credit. Why ? Well simple enough, from years now Stratovarius have made excellent albums, excellent songs. But let's be realistic, before Visions we didn't have some variety in the songs themselves, and all album were more or less all the same. They were all excellent, but still I couldn't sense any sign of progression of the style. That started to change a bit with Visions, which is also a killer album if you ask me. Destiny is the first step towards the new Stratovarius and it is a huge one. The band released an album containing an amazing variety of songs, from melodic speed tunes, mid-tempo or killing ballad, everything the band can deliver is contained in that CD and for the first time you can appreciate the band's full spectrum. Like always the production is extraordinary (I don't even know how they did on Infinite to make it even better !). I'm pretty much sure every Stratovarius' fans have this one (if not well... you know what to do) but for everyone who don't know Stratovarius and are into true / power metal : you might want to check them, in fact I'm pretty sure a lot of people would love Stratovarius if they just listen to them, and this CD is the best one you can find to make yourself an opinion about this already legendary band. Long live Stratovarius !!!
