Killing songs: Come Out Swinging, Million Miles Away
Paolo, my metal & football friend , told me to check this band.
As I am not a big fan of punk things, I was really suspicious I can't
afford this type of music. However, The Offspring have included
so many other influences (heavy, hard rock, rap and even pop music),
that the digestion of Conspiracy Of One was easy. It is fresh,
catchy and full of melodies.
Original Prankster (2nd song) mixing heavy guitars, punk
rhythm and South-America sounds. Strange ... but so funny. Imagine some
'rap' lyrics before the chorus and you got the picture. On first play,
I hated that song. Now it is one of my favorite. You can almost fell
the crowd dancing in your back.
Want You Bad is a typical punk/rock song that will stay in your
brain forever. Fast and again very catchy where bridge & chorus
are simply perfect. The kind of song you hate at the end of the day
...'cause you sing it all the day. Without any doubt, "the single"
of Conspiracy Of One. Million Miles Away makes me jumping
in my room from one wall to another (this is a picture of course). A
typical classic punk/rock!
The booklet is well done and fit perfectly to The Offspring's music
style. Conspiracy Of One is for open mind metal kids who are
listening to all kind of stuff. Check this one ... as after a few seconds,
I am sure your soul will fly to California.
