Killing songs: All !!
Wow ! Here comes simply one of the best metal record this year !!!
And imagine that I'm not much a big fan of Death Metal.
What happens when brutal, aggressive metal meats melody ? Actually
a very nice thing, and in this case an excellent record. Everything
is excellent here. Vocals : some clear voices and slow moments to
let your mind at ease for a few seconds then and there between the
deadly fast and melodic aggressive songs that In Flames proudly delivered
here. Guitars are fast, fucking fast, aggressive riffs but always
mixed up with excellent melodies to calm things down but not too much
neither. This album is the perfect equilibrium between melody and
aggressivity (I know I said it already :) ). The most mature and simply
the best album for this melodic death metal band ! I liked "Colony"
a lot but this one is 2 steps ahead !
The special first limited edition contains a very nice bonus track
you don't want to miss if you're a big In Flames fan and a PC screen
saver which I admit I haven't checked out yet. I was under the impression
that I would make a long review about this album but I'm speechless
in front of such a masterpiece ! Music speaks better than words, so
go, run, fly to your favorite shop at once and listen to what I can
already tell you will be one of our albums of the year !! A buy-or-burn-in-hell-for-all-eternity-album
(no less) !
