Killing songs: I Don't Want You
The first song (I Don't Want You) on this album reminds me Dead or
Alive from Bon Jovi, with maybe a more Heavy atmosphere and a less
Cowboy attitude ;). But it's the only song on the release that really can be
compared to Jon's music.
The guitar sounds "old school", both riffs and melodies, with a more
Rock'n'Roll sound that nowadays typical release. Speaking of sound, the album
have a quite good production and clear sound. The songs are quite Heavy and
maybe the overall lacks some melody. The singer, although very good, sings halfway
from Rock to Blues and I must admit that I'm not fan of such vocals. The problem
is that the album tends to repeat itself and is much too unoriginal. I have
the feeling that I've heard these songs 10 times at least. Personally I like
some moments, but I almost never find a complete song where I don't get bored
after the second chorus... but I have to insist on the fact that I really have
trouble with these kind of vocals. Musically the release features talented people,
absolutely no doubt about that, unfortunately they really miss in catching my
attention nor interest and in the end the nude chick on the cover is my favorite
about the whole thing (sorry).
I guess this one is only for huge fans of Rock'N'Roll more than for nowadays
metalheads. Try before you buy (I mean the album, not the nice nude chick on
the artcover.... who said good marketing ?).
