Killing songs: Absorbed & Perpetrator Of Dreams
The latest release from Unleashed Power is an E.P. tittle Absorbed.
It is a compilation of original tracks presenting musical history
of the band. You need luck to arrive at the top. However, when bad
luck rules, your only weapon lies in faith. Based on all the unlucky
events that U.P. has suffered, I can say this record is going to be
their testimony ... or the beginning of a new age. Of course, it lies
up to you to help this band as we think they deserve to continue in
the heavy metal scene.
This E.P. takes you on a backward journey through U.P.'s existence,
beginning with a dynamic brand new song, moving into a few masterful
pieces from the Mindfailure sessions. Perpetrator of Dreams,
heavy/thrash metal song with killing riffs is really excellent
and justify alone buying this EP ...At The Lowest Point, prog/power
metal song, is another facet of the band showing great capability
in the song-writting. Calendar, second song reminds me early
Iced Earth's songs and the opener Absorbed, with vocals "à
la" Dio, is also a nice surprise.
It is a long way to the top! Unleash Power has to confirm its great
potential with a full record, which will have to sound like this very
good Absorbed. As I said previously, this is a testimony or
the beginning of new age for UP. The answer lies in the next chapter.
Good luck guys.
