RUNNING WILD Guitarist Comments On Cancelled Festival Appearances
Band News
Bernd Aufermann also reports to be working with Angel Dust again on new album
RUNNING WILD guitarist Bernd Aufermann has posted the following message on his web site:
"Hello everybody. Sad news about RUNNING WILD and the cancellation of the festival activities: SORRY NOT MY FAULT.
"Can you imagine, me sitting & preparing the new setlist for weeks and travel to rehearsal to find out that the BACKLINE situation is unclear and as a result the band won't do ANY festivals??? DISAPPOINTMENT is a more friendlier term about my mood. I don't want to comment this, since I don't know any details. In fact I'd like to point out my status here: I'm nothing more or less than the LIVE GUITARIST of RUNNING WILD, I won't play a single track on the new album and there won't be any songs written by me, therefore I have no in-depth view and can't (won't) comment what happened. So many emails reached me and all I can say is 'SORRY folks', I don't know when, where and what will happen with RUNNING WILD in the next time. Rolf continues to record the new album but a tour or concerts are far from being planned.
"LIKE IT STATED BEFORE: I'D LIKE TO PLAY OUT MORE - this refers me to the next topic:
"CIRCLE II CIRCLE: Zak Stevens will be on tour and he invited me to play a gig with him in the Zeche Bochum on Monday the 28th of June - Blaze Bailey will be there as well. Finally 3 songs I wrote for Zak will be released on his new album which will be out in August / September.
"ANGEL DUST asked me if I would like to be part of their new album and I would gladly join in for some real hard 'n' heavy stuff again! I keep you updated!
"SHINE INC songs are finished, looking for a decent record company to promote it! More & More gigs are coming in for the POWERSTATION which will be a great refund for the missed shows."
