EDGUY Frontman Is 'Alive And Well'
Misc
Despite Rumors To The Contrary
EDGUY frontman Tobias Sammet has rejected Internet reports that he has committed suicide. In a posting on the band's official web site, Sammet
writes, "Wow, you turn your computer on, surf the Internet and find out
that you're dead before you even realize it yourself. I just felt a
little cold and wondered why people around seemed to not pay attention
to me anymore. But I'd never thought in a million years that it's THAT
serious. However, I am alive and well and it's only the second time
this year that people think I'm dead. If I had died, I would let you
know, don't worry. See you on tour."
EDGUY have set a January 20, 2006 release date for their new album, "Rocket Ride" (Nuclear Blast). The follow-up to 2004's "Hellfire Club" was recorded with producer Sascha Paeth (who also worked with the band on their "Superheroes" EP) and is said to feature the band's most "diverse" material to date.
